Our second hike took us into the North Cascades. About an hour north of our home base is Darrington, Washington, and the Boulder Creek trail. Our book calls it Boulder River, but at the Shell station we stopped at, the locals called it Boulder Creek. This time the road was well marked, and in a little bit better condition than our previous hike. Over all it was a nice little hike, with some drama along the way. To find out what happened, check out our trail review.
